David currently
David Martin Athens is a minor character used in World 8: Brave New World by Lowri. He is a non-evolved human and one of the main protestors against evolved human rights. He is also the father of Lola, Lee and Laurie Athens.
Appearance[]
David is quite well built, and stands at 5'11 tall. He has light blue, almost grey eyes, a pale skin tone and dark brown hair. This hair colouring was inherited by his daughter Lee, though hers seems slightly lighter. He tends to dress quite formally, often in suits.
Abilities[]
Due to being a non-evolved human, David possesses no abilities, and will never manifest any. He would be completely horrified if he did.

History[]
David grew up in California, and has lived there for most of his life. He met his wife Sue while they were both in college, and they married soon after graduating, then had triplet daughters. When the girls were all 12 years old, both of his parents died in what was at the time recorded as a freak accident, but was truly a newly manifested evolved human losing control. After the existence of abilities was exposed, David quickly jumped to the correct conclusion about his parents' deaths. Because of this, he became a hater of evolved humans, and later an open campaigner against them and their rights. When he discovered that his daughters had manifested, he disinherited them. They had to be emancipated to protect them from him, and all three moved to New York.
Etymology[]
The name David is Hebrew and means "beloved". His middle name, Martin, is a Latin name which means "warrior" or "from the god Mars". His surname refers to the capital city of Greece, named after the ancient Greek goddess of wisdom, civilization and war.
