Kayla as a child
Kayla Melody Firelock-Reddan-Capet is a character used by Lowri in the future of World 4: Vampires and Wolves. She will be the daughter of Becca Firelock-Reddan. She will be three-eighths type one vampire and five-eighths type two vampire. She will possess the ability of Songspeak.
Appearance[]
Kayla as an adult
Kayla will always have bright blue eyes, inherited from her paternal grandmother. These eyes will always remain in their natural colour. Her skin tone will be pale, and her hair will originally be a light blonde but will darken slightly as she ages, becoming golden. It will wave slightly, and she will usually have it grown long, apart from for a short time in her teens. Since she will be part type one vampire, her skin will glow slightly in bright light.
Abilities[]
Due to her mixed vampiric heritage, Kayla will be incredibly strong and fast, with advanced reflexes, agility and stamina. Her senses will also be enhanced, and she will be able to detect and track other supernatural beings. She will be venomous, meaning that she will be able to poison werecreatures and turn humans into type one vampires. She will be the only one of her parents' daughters to be venomous. Her skin will be thick and almost completely impenetrable. She will age and mature rapidly as a child, and will afterwards be immortal.
A man invoking emotions through music
She will also possess the ability of Songspeak. This ability will enable her to communicate through song, invoking different emotions in all listeners depending on the theme and mood of the music, e.g. feelings of love from a romantic song, anger from an angry and rebellious song, or grief from a sad ballad. It can also produce songs which have specific effects on those who hear them, like hypnotising Psychic Songs or attracting Siren Songs.

Etymology[]
Kayla is a Hebrew name meaning "who is like God?", derived from Michaela. It can also be considered as an alternate form of Kayley, meaning "descendant of Caollaidhe". Her middle name, Melody, is Greek and refers to a musical melody. This is a reference to her ability of Songspeak. The surname Firelock may mean "firearm" or "fire forge", and could refer to that family's military history. Reddan is Gaelic and means "reed" or "red". This could refer to blood and her vampirism, or to the "fire" in the surname Firelock. Her paternal surname, Capet, means "head, leader" and "cape". It was originally the name of a French royal family, and could now refer to how Kayla's family and coven rule the vampiric world.
